Beginning and ending at the Gettysburg Rec Park, the LK5K course is divided into two distinctly different halves.
 
The first 1.5 miles winds through the southeast section of the Gettysburg Borough, then enters the Rec Park for a twisting, turning run on the Biser Trail.
 
The second half of the course is a relatively flat, very fast route through the Colt Park development. A nearly 1/2 mile straightaway at the start of Mile 3 is a sprinter's dream!
